by Owl Willows
as the trees around us fall prey
to aging as the years slowly pass us by
Still we can enjoy the gray that autumn brings
In a cold cemetery somewhere, lovers hold hands beneath
a cold gray sky while singed leaves fall from our
friends the trees
For one month, one night the haunting is ours
while children eat candy and adults intoxicate themselves
we can enjoy wandering around a dark graveyard
if we see a spirit or two of course we'll say hello
Skeletons usually hide in mausoleums
but tonight we can delight in the exhilaration of fright.
